Richard works with organizations, consortia and community groups to develop Common Purpose. This helps align people in their thinking, eliminate the cause of conflict and malpractice, refine efforts and focus their energies and resources. He has taken many groups through this process including Building Schools For the Future Consortia (previously stated) and, companies such as Sir Robert Macalpine and Maris, charities and not for profit organizations such as The World Wildlife Fund and Peace One Day and Spiritual and Religious groups. For the latter we were asked to help Jews, Christians and Muslims define a Single Common Purpose that could unite the Abrahamic Faiths. Richard has developed an iteractive, imaginative process of enquiry, giving ownership to participants and involving them in the outcome. It became an extraordinary piece of work bringing clarity, unity and forging a way ahead. Together the group arrived at a clear and compelling Purpose which has now been taken forward into the long term aims and strategy of the group. They are currently working to explore and effect the impact of organised religion and spirituality on politics and social transformation.
